Pertaining to Richard’s paintings:

All the paintings are oil on canvass unless otherwise noted.  The letter T. stands for Teruko in the paintings.  

 “Without my wife I may not have created these paintings.”  

Richard’s paintings are derived from his unconscious mind.  He does not plan them beforehand.  

“They are always spontaneous and surprising.  They reflect what is going on at this moment.”

Except the Japanese series which are usually planed.

The “Man and Woman Noh Mask” are illustrated they are used in the Japanese Noh theater. Most of the other Noh masks have been modified.
